I took my weary body and knelt upon the floor, the carpet beneath me leaving its imprint upon my flesh.

And I poured out my heart. I asked for His strength… and forgiveness for my wayward ways.

This child prayed.

Know that He hears our prayers. Every one of them, for nothing escapes the eyes of heaven. But in my heart I knew it was what I chose to do after said prayer that mattered most in the moment. Do I continue to whine and fall back into my wayward ways? No, for that would be foolish.

Take the peace that surpasses all understanding and clutch it close to your soul like a child whom covets a precious blanket. Take comfort knowing He heard your cry. Take His forgiveness and mercy, rub your sore knees until the blood flow returns to your legs, and begin your day.

Every day has a new beginning. Every prayer a fresh start.

Pay attention sweet child, pay attention to the God who adores you. When you pay attention to the awesomeness of the Lord before you, He will speak. And when He speaks, the world changes.

When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
