31 Days of Now – Day 30
Growing is never easy. Often, when we are lost in the moments of life, we don't see the growth that is taking place within our mind, emotions, and spirit.
31 Days of Now – Day 29
Have you ever had the thought that certain skills may be needed for you to step into your purpose, but you know that no where within you do those skills yet exist? Perhaps now is our time to begin learning something new that will help in the unfolding of our dreams and grand plans.
31 Days of Now – Day 28
The traffic was thick causing the air to be heavy-laden with billows of exhaust. The four lane road had been condensed to one pitiful artery as construction crews were tearing up the pavement,
31 Days of Now – Day 27
While wasting a few precious moments of time on a well known social media site, I came across a heart-wrenching post from a person who was apparently having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad kind of day.
31 Days of Now – Day 26
As my car rolled up to an intersection I noticed a man standing against the light pole with his tell-tale cardboard sign. The neatly penned words requested spare change followed with a sentiment of God's blessing.

31 Days of Now – Day 24
Oh, our bones feel weary. The days have begun to take their toll. Too much of our attention has been stolen and perhaps we're feeling a wee bit lost unsure where our now even began. And sometimes our weariness can cause us to experience an unyoked spirit.
31 Days of Now – Day 23
I moved aside the soft curtain and slowly opened the window pane to let in the unusually warm autumn air. The sun was bright and shone through the glass pane with brilliant force flooding the room.
31 Days of Now – Day 22
The counter is sticky and littered with not one, but two days worth of dirty dishes. My suitcase is still sitting unpacked in the hallway three days after coming home. The laundry is a never-ending eyesore, dust balls covered in cat fur are drifting across the dirty floor, and there isn't a clean pair of boxers in the drawer.
31 Days of Now – Day 21
I stood amongst the crowd looking upon an eclectic collage of faces in animated conversation. Dotted through the crowd were some who appeared forlorn as they tried to keep their eyes open with hands tucked underneath chins, and others who were taking full advantage of the available vertical seating with complete ease, catching a few moments to rest.
31 Days of Now – Day 20
The car was moving along at a quick clip, my hand gripping the top of the steering wheel. My mind was moving just as fast syncing one task of the day to the next.
31 Days of Now – Day 19
I leaned back in the armless chair letting my back lean against the cushion for comfort. The sermon was powerful and challenging as I let the words roll over my spirit. The individual next me to me could not move their hands fast enough in attempt to keep up their notes with the message.
31 Days of Now – Day 18
I stood amongst a gathering of women who were collectively sharing ideas on how to rectify a specific problem. I had a thought of my own and shared it with the others.
31 Days of Now – Day 17
I watched as my child curled herself up against the wall with tightly gripped hands. I watched as my child let salty tears slip down her soft pink cheeks as she poured out her heart to Jesus.
31 Days of Now – Day 16
As I drove along the dull pavement, I noticed how dirty my front windshield had become. With the flick of my wrist, I attempted to rectify the problem and instantly the damp wipers created two crisp streaks across the glass.
31 Days of Now – Day 15
I sat down and stared aimlessly at the laundry basket that sat overflowing at my tired feet. My to-do had grown increasingly long and nowhere upon it were scribbled words declaring the laundry a priority.
31 Days of Now – Day 14
The Delicious Scent of Time Wasting I bent my head forward and the breath that escaped my mouth came out
31 Days of Now – Day 13
Today you have been given one thousand four hundred and forty minutes. Now let us subtract the minutes we sleep, eat, and work. Now take away the minutes we use for any number of tasks that easily eat up a good portion of our time.
31 Days of Now – Day 12
The table was scattered with steaming bowls of various shapes and sizes. A pretty centrepiece sat perched upon the middle of the table. The scents that wafted through the air were nearly intoxicating to a hungry belly.
31 Days of Now – Day 11
I opened the front door and encountered a flurry of activity as I crossed the threshold. Before I had left to run a quick errand I had asked my eldest child to sweep up the abundance of dust and glitter that graced the kitchen floor.
31 Days of Now – Day 10
With a deep waver in her voice, I heard my child call out my name. She had made her way into the washroom just minutes earlier so I figured perhaps she was in need of a little assistance. Then the deep waver soon became a call tinted with young curiosity.
31 Days of Now – Day 9
The wind blew fiercely across the parking lot causing my young daughter's jacket to whip open. I bent down, my head falling forward, to pull up her zipper. As I raised myself up my child decided it was an opportune moment to dance some sort of uncoordinated jig that caused me to leap nervously forward to protect her.
31 Days of Now – Day 8
After a busy and eventful afternoon, I sat in the passenger side of an enormous beast that some call a truck and listened as my sweet friend tried to articulate her emotions into well received words.
